@teresondupuy: At some point, you have to get out of the obsession of wanting to heal another person. Because sometimes what we call love is actually control. Sometimes what we call helping is actually manipulation. Sometimes what we call “I just want them to wake up” is really, “I need them to become who I want them to be so I can finally feel safe.” And that is not love. That is attachment trying to control the outcome. You cannot force someone to look at their patterns. You cannot make someone face their shadow. You cannot heal someone who is still committed to avoiding themselves. Their healing belongs to them. Their awakening belongs to them. Their choices belong to them. And if they want to get out of the patterns that are hurting them, they will. If they want to become conscious, they will. If they want to do the work, they will. And if they don’t? At least you will. At least you can stop abandoning yourself trying to rescue someone who is not asking to be rescued. At least you can turn that energy back toward your own healing, your own wholeness, your own life. Let them go. Let them meet themselves when they are ready. And let yourself become free.
