@myodpodcast: Yes. And that is the part people don’t want to admit. Because if we admit alcohol is addictive, then we also have to question why it is everywhere. At weddings. At clubs. At birthdays. At business meetings. At celebrations. At funerals. At almost every social moment. We normalized something that many people struggle to control. That is why addiction can hide in plain sight. A person can be losing control and still be surrounded by people cheering him on. That is the scary part. Sometimes the crowd is not helping you. Sometimes the crowd is clapping while you destroy yourself. Would you still drink if nobody was watching?
