@daveramsey: I'm a fan of buying used cars with cash. When you buy used, someone ELSE has already taken that depreciation hit. That means, you get a reliable vehicle at a fraction of the cost. Unless you have a net worth of a million dollars or more, buy used cars only. If you have a net worth of over a million dollars, buying a new car becomes acceptable, because at that point, your wealth can absorb the depreciation hit without it doing any real damage to your financial position.
