just interesting info, in Humanistic Judaism (a bunch of religious atheist Jewish people) they still celebrate Passover by reinterpreted it as the festival that represents the human's yearning for freedom and liberation something like that.

I think it means love and self sacrifice. I believe God became a man to sacrifice himself. He didn’t harm anyone else but himself. If that makes sense?

I grew up evangelical and even though I’ve been out of the church for years now, I’m still weirdly shaped by the violent, fearful rhetoric of the church. I’m still a nervous wreck. It’s really fucked up. Christianity is vile.
