As a server who is losing my big table, I would appreciate $20

I thought the rule was to tip based on the total of the bill. I’m confused

I would tip 30 for that many people, you used a big table and then ordered cheap, don’t screw the server

As an Irish person I can’t understand the tipping culture. This kind of a restaurant here I wouldn’t tip at all .

20% is $6.69 so round up to $7.00. If they were above average, give them $10.00.

If it was good service , on that situation, probably $30.00.

Tip based off of service not the total. If service was exceptional, 20%. And don’t tip on tax. $6.68 is a great tip, I usually round up to the next dollar so I would do 7 bucks.

Waiters will always change their argument to whichever is a bigger amount. If it’s an expensive restaurant where one/two meals and a drink is like $200 they expect 20-25%+ from the total price. But when the total price is small they change it to how many people they serve 🙄 you can’t win but expecting $20 on a $35 bill is an insane expectation

I would tip $15… I’m a server…but a $10 tip is appropriate
