i believe williamsburg / midtown is really good, if your budget is on the higher end look for areas in the city that’s tranquil and more homey especially since that extra penny will allow you to be in cleaner areas and the air feels overall cleaner. Fort Greene is also a personal favorite of mine. It’s close to everything and the area is nice (near parks, farmers markets etc) and it’s only a 20-30 minute commute to the city! Wherever you end up i just hope it feels like hope and good luck on ur journey! welcome to the greatest city in the world ! 💕
