@nativeplanttok: Made this video as ducks were walking around in my front yard😂 if you’re complaining about wildlife living on earth maybe consider living in a submarine. On the other hand native species can absolutely become overpopulated. This is a tough topic where the answer is likely in the Grey area. One thing I think we can all agree on is that wildlife need Habitat and our goal should always be to figure out how we can live with wild things! #nativehabitatproject #edgewatergeese #canadageese #habitatloss

I’ll never understand it. We remove the gators, then complain about the goose population. Mow the waters edge and herbicide the waters, then complain about algae. We can’t get out of our own way.

Maybe developers shouldn’t construct artificial ponds in their high end neighborhoods, which attract geese.

It comes down to this. We’re moving into their home and then we want to complain about them. And like you were saying about proposed developments, all we’re doing is destroying these habitats and we cannot get these animals back. It’s really sad..

My work complained about geese once, and the wildlife group came and killed them off. After that, my employer hired herding dogs trained to chase the geese off the property to ensure they don't lay eggs at out plant.

Why don’t they let people hunt them with special permits?

My issue with it was the fact that this isn’t gonna be the only time the geese will have to be gas chambered. They created prime real estate for them and are shocked they keep coming back

My thing is why can’t we relocate them to the refuge during their molt? Or introduce swans to the mix? If they were using the meat for families at need I wouldn’t have an issue with this at all.

Every spring we have 3-4 Cobra Chicken Couples fighting over our 5 acre pond. A whole lotta honking and giving chase. The couple that won it this year successfully raised 12 to adulthood! Now it’s just loud outside 😅

They didn’t have to tell everyone their plans. Think of how many have been killed without our knowledge.
