I started drinking at 16 then at 33 I used to wake up in the middle of the night after I would black out and would immediately think to go have a drink. And I would. And that cycle went on and on it was insane. 2.5 years sober now.

I drank a bottle of wine a night sometimes 2 for years. Started 🌶️13 weeks ago. First 6 weeks my wine intake became less and less. Haven’t drunk in 7 weeks, don’t miss it or think about it anymore, feel amazing and grateful.

Unfortunately its so normalized and everything associated with fun has alcohol included. Even when you stop people almost look uncomfortable with you not drinking.
