@nobeloitdatacenter: Craig is a friend of mine and has given me permission me to share this video from his 90 seconds granted at the 6/20/26 Town of Turtle Board meeting, along with this: “I worked on the sprawling Microsoft data center campus in Pleasant Prairie. It was massive. The scale of construction stretched for miles in an area that had already been misled by promises surrounding Foxconn. Residents were told there would be plenty of long-term jobs. In reality, once construction was complete, only a relatively small workforce remained—primarily computer programmers, technicians, and maintenance staff. During construction, there were thousands of jobs, but those jobs were temporary. What comes with a project of that size is years of disruption: endless construction traffic, concrete trucks, pile drivers, semi after semi, and workers coming and going every day. Along with that comes dust, noise, vibration, and a dramatic change to the landscape. I can’t imagine our area looking like the Foxconn and Microsoft corridor. In my opinion, it would be a tragedy. We have so little wilderness, open space, and local history left.
