There are some lakes with tides! Pitt Lake is a tidal lake. It is attached to the ocean so despite being fresh water, it still sees tides everyday!

i think it's so weird that its not the water getting just higher and lower, it's a big lump of water dragged by gravity that runs up on land and can't go any further until the gravity lessens and it has to run "downhill" back to ""sea level""(forever fascinated and stressed by the idea that sea level is not as constant as i once imagined it thanks to you)

Lake Okeechobee in Florida because it is formed like a bull has wind tides. If the wind blows long enough in one direction, it will fill up one side of the bowl.

It wasn’t until well into adulthood that I heard someone describe tides as stationary and the earth just rotating under the bulge. That was the coolest thing ever.
