@mementomikkie: In the 1970s Richard Harris was part of a group of actors known as Hollywood's "Hellraisers". Other actors in this group included Peter O'Toole, Richard Burton and Oliver Reed. While Harris was a well respected actor and singer, his wild private life became synonymous with his art. According to Hollywood legend Richard Harris once drunkenly parked his Rolls Royce somewhere and only remembered a decade later that he'd owned the Rolls at all! Harris' wild lifestyle came to a head in 1978 when a drug overdose nearly took his life. Harris abstained from hard drinking for the rest of his life. Richard Harris passed away in 2002 after battling Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
