It’s not too hard when you think about what Bernard knows DUE to the fact Albert doesn’t know. Albert only knows the month. Since every month has multiple dates, it makes sense that he doesn't know the exact birthday yet. Bernard only knows the day (the number). For Albert to know for a fact that Bernard doesn't know, the number given to Bernard cannot be unique. If Cheryl had told Bernard "19" or "18", Bernard would immediately know the answer because 19 only appears in May and 18 only appears in June. Therefore, the birthday cannot be on a unique day. This rules out May 19 and June 18. Also, because Albert is completely certain that Bernard doesn't know, the month Albert was given cannot contain those unique days. If Albert was told "May" or "June", he couldn't be 100% sure Bernard didn't have the number 19 or 18. So May and June are completely eliminated. Bernard now knows the month is either July or August. Because he now knows the exact date, the day number he holds must be unique between the remaining choices. If his number was 14, he would still be stuck because 14 appears in both July and August. Since he does know, his number cannot be 14. This rules out July 14 and August 14. Albert only knows the month (which we established is either July or August). If Albert's month was August, he would still be conflicted because there are two remaining dates left in August (15 and 17). He wouldn't be able to deduce the final answer. Because Albert does know, the month must be the one with only a single remaining date left. So it’s July 16th. This was pretty fun though!

Spoiler warning: THE SOLUTION This is kinda tricky but it gets easier if u write down the dates and cross them out as u follow along. So A says that he doesnt know the date (obviously, for every month we have atleast 2 possible dates), but he knows for a fact that B doesnt know either. If B doesnt know either then it must be a duplicate day, if u circle all the duplicate days then realise the only non duplicates are May 19 and June 18 (u can cross these out since if they were to be an answer, B would know the date). But this means that A couldnt possibly have May or June as his month otherwise he wouldnt have known for a fact that B doesnt know either, so we can cross out the remaining May and June dates aswell. Then B says that at first he didnt knew but now he knows exactly. that means it cannot be a duplicate day, cross out July 14 and August 14. We have 3 remaining dates: July 16, August 15 and August 17. A says that now he knows too, which means it cannot be a duplicate month, so the August dates get crossed out and remains July 16.

La única explicación en español que verás 😆: A Albert solo le dicen el mes, y a Bernard solo el día (número). Es decir que a Albert le pudo decir: mayo, junio, julio o agosto (no sabemos cuál). A Bernard le pudo decir: 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 o 19 (no sabemos cuál). Siguiendo la línea de acontecimientos: Albert dice "[1]Yo no sé la fecha exacta, pero sé que Bernard tampoco lo sabe" y luego Bernard con esa información dice "[2] Yo antes no lo sabía pero ahora ya se la fecha exacta". Luego de esto Alfred dice "[3] en ese caso ahora yo también lo sé". Aquí hay que partir buscando en qué meses se dan las dos particularidades [1 y 2]. Iniciando, si a Albert le hubieran dicho "mayo o junio" es imposible que hubiera dicho la frase [1], ya que tanto en mayo como en junio hay números que solo aparecen una vez (19 y 18) y si a Bernard le hubieran dicho el número 18 o 19 obviamente ya tendría la respuesta. Por lo tanto solo nos queda julio o agosto. Pero si a Albert le hubieran dicho agosto, Bernard sí podría haber dicho la frase [2] pero Albert no la frase [3] porque Albert no tendría criterios para descartar agosto 14, 15 ni 17. Solo en el caso de que a Albert le hubieran dicho julio, Bernard sí podría descartar julio 16 vs mayo 16 (porque mayo fue descartado al no ser compatible con la frase [1]). Albert ahora se da cuenta que si a Bernard le hubieran dicho el número 14, Bernard no podría haber dicho la frase [2] al no poder descartar a julio 14 vs Agosto 14. Y Bernard sabe que no es agosto porque no tiene 16 (y 16 es el único número que se puede descartar de mayo y fue descartado según la frase [1]). Por tanto Albert sabe que el número faltante es 16 ya que es el único que sí puede descartar ya que en agosto no hay 16 (y él ya tenía el mes (julio) explicado anteriormente. Y así se cumple la frase [3] y concluyen que la fecha es el 16 de julio. Lo expliqué como pude ok jejeje.
