@king_borris: I made this video simply as an observation and a perspective piece. My intention is not to create controversy, divide people, or tell anyone what they should believe. This is my personal opinion and my attempt to communicate why understanding history matters and why respecting other people’s freedom matters. When I thought about Independence Day in 1776, I couldn’t help but think about the people who were still not free at that time. That perspective helped me better understand why Juneteenth is meaningful to so many people. For me, this isn’t about politics. It’s about empathy. It’s about taking a moment to imagine what freedom means when you’ve had to wait for it. I try to lead by example, and this is my way of doing that. Also sorry about any issues with the creation of the video.
