@hackproduct9: I’ve reviewed a lot of agent architectures over the last year. OpenAI Agents. Claude Code. Cursor. LangGraph. CrewAI. Enterprise internal frameworks. One thing I’ve learned is that the terminology changes constantly. What one framework calls memory, another calls context. What one calls skills, another calls tools, capabilities, or plugins. So instead of focusing on the names, I tried to focus on the underlying concepts. This is the mental model I’ve accumulated so far. It’s not an official framework. It’s not the only way to think about agents. It’s simply my attempt to put the common building blocks into a single picture. For the students, engineers, and community members who keep asking similar questions about memory, skills, tools, planning, guardrails, and agents, I hope this helps connect some of the dots. Some terminology is interchangeable. Some layers may evolve. Some boxes may move around over time. But if you’re getting started with AI agents, this should give you a reasonable foundation for how many modern systems are being built today. Curious what you would add, remove, or rename. #AIEngineering #AIAgents #AgenticAI #LLM #GenAI
