Looked it up, it’s called cutaneous metastases of pancreatic cancer. Most of the time they see these lesions before being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Thank you for sharing, this RN learned something new today

Sometimes I wonder that how long would we survive without symptoms if never told we have anything wrong. The mind is very powerful. It can trick you into believing something that actually isn’t occurring at that moment.

As a jaded healthcare professional I couldn’t help but think this cost her the last two weeks of her life being home with her friends and family

Pancreatic cancer is diabolical. It’s almost never found before it’s too late😞

As someone who was just diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer it’s important to share what the signs are. Thank you. 🩷

I’m an RN and though we are not allowed to diagnose or prescribe, we can and I do, just what that nurse did. I’ve told people, in stores, for example, to get a suspicious mole checked. Told moms to have their child checked for umbilical hernias, etc. Sad that the prognosis for certain cancers is so devastating. I found my toddler’s kidney cancer, (at 15 mos old). “Terminal”, nephrectomy, 2 yrs chemo. He is 55 soon!!

I think we should be scanned every 5 years for issues. We could catch things so much sooner.

My mom had it. Caught it very very early. Had whipple surgery. She made it 4 years which is longer than a lot of people.

As a Nurse Practitioner we are always assessing people even in the public. We can’t help it. I have approached strangers as well to alert them to a medical concern. Thank you for sharing this story, it could save a life!!! I will be reposting as well! 🙏
