Police can willfully ignore laws and not be charged with a crime. But citizens can break a law they didn't even know existed and go to jail. Seems like a broken system to me.

how many other people were abused and mistreated by these officers before this case happened to get them fired? anyone previously wrongfully arrested by these guys should be allowed to sue them as well!

Not enough honestly. Shouldn’t have been a demotion should have been fired and anyone else that went along with it. Department should have been required to conduct additional training on de-escalation tactics as well as the laws they are required to uphold
