A nurse told me once they did this at a hospital where she worked and it was $100 gift card for nurses week. It is cruel. As if they should have known they weren’t going to be appreciated.

What you’ve missed is this was sent just after the roll out of electronic medical record program - one of the most stressful things I’ve been through in my 18+ years working in healthcare. The whole thing was awful but the timing was beyond cruel.

I don't work there but at my job we don't have any holidays off. the other year we got a phishing email telling us how much the company knows we wish we could spend Christmas with our families and so they're offering a contest to win a week off at Christmas time. I hate phishing emails so much after this

The failure rate of the phishing test that was given to our federal government agency was published in the media. I was on leave when it was done so I wasn’t affected, but it sucked.

Someone at my company received one about a new employment contract. Now, if they had looked at all the obvious phishing test elements, and thought for a second bc the company doesn't do US employment contracts, they would have passed. But perhaps they were exhausted and already trying to do so much. They put in a complaint that they thought they were being fired.
