“No they can’t replace twst!!” One story update every 7+ months btw 😭😭 as someone who literally has the story finished, I know it WILL take a while bc twst is a small game with a small group working on it, but the fans are still waiting at the same time. This new game won’t “replace” anything, but it’s good a new one is coming out.

Just bc a Disney game made by coly inc and is in Japan doesn’t mean that it’s gonna replace twst. Twisted Wonderland is popular in Japan and even has its own anime, merch and to a point where twst has its own jewelry. This new game “Sparklink Stars” isn’t gonna replace twst for a while. As of right now, twst is making new plushies, hosting a memorial seasonal exhibition and is working on the twst anime season 2.

OKAY THIS ADDS WHOLE NEW EVIDENCE TO MY THEORY, after the small success of twisted wonderland, this could be a Disney game TOTALLY go in for the otoma genre, in the twisted wonderland story Royal sword Academy looks up to the heros who are women and Night raven college looks up to the villains of any gender which I've always found quite interesting that RSC looks up to mainly women becuse why couldn't they just made them any gender like NRC..unless.. Starlight is a spin off focusing on the twisted versions of disney heros who are men. after some research there are too many similarities between twst and sparking stars to be a coincidence, leading me come to the conclusion this is Disney dipping their toes into the otoma genre and twst was a small scale test to see if there were any profit in that (which it seems there has been) . . I need to bed bro..

the whole replacing twst thing reminds me of when Tower of Fantasy was releasing and people thought it would replace Genshin or whatever and it lowkey ended up being trash 😭😭 I love twst but I hope this game is good too

Twst is not getting replace. Calm down. For one twst is at the top of it's game. The anime was a sucess, and the game plot isn't even done??? And twst suceeded not just for the men for one. But the complex writing and beautiful designs from Yana. The game has a high bar to compete with.
