Some will misunderstand your intentions, others may even exploit your compassion, talent, or generosity. The qualities that inspire one person can threaten another or tempt someone to take advantage. However, recognizing you can’t eliminate all darkness isn’t an excuse for indifference. It’s a reminder to be realistic about your influence, not to stop trying. You still have a responsibility to act where you can make a difference, even if you can’t change everything.
