I was diagnosed with brain cancer at 9 and now I'm only 2 days away from being cancer free, I'm allergic to a form of khemo, qnd with me being diagnosed from a children's hospital I get to go there for a while and I'm 17 but my oncologist is silly and makes me laugh even at 17,i tell them just be like you and act like you do with everyone

As a 3x AML patient, thank you for showing up everyday and for helping us to be able to fight in the ways that we do. I was told I had no options, that we had hit the limit of the system. I said I refuse to accept that answer. I proceeded to dig deep and find research drugs, other opinions, etc. every step of the way my doctor has never doubted me or said she can’t help when I found potential options outside of what the hospital has access to. She has fought for me in rooms I haven’t been in and has always told me that if I come across something they don’t have that “she can’t promise anything but we’re damn sure going to try”. That small amount of hope is everything to us. Your efforts don’t go unnoticed ❤️

My grandfathers doctor let his cancer go upon my grandfathers request cus “he didn’t want to stop working” and by the time we found out about that the doctor was retired. I’m glad there are doctors that do their job instead of looking at dollar signs.
