“Symptom management” so I have to work ten times as harder than the average person for the rest of my life just for people to still notice my short comings and I still feel sad? Hm.

Having people consider grief a “life stage” like no actually I don’t think I’m ever not going to feel like this

“It gets better” it’s been over 10 years. It’s gotten worse, not better.

I still remember having to explain to my mom that I would not "wean off the antidepressants once I felt better." That I'd probably be taking them the rest of my life.

“It’ll get better!” And I have felt this way since I was quite literally a child. I have lived with this feeling for more of my life than I haven’t.

why am I here :
Feels easier in a way to accept this is a forever disease. I feel a tiny bit of relief knowing I can stop waiting for it to be over. The other part is learning to live with it and the tiring conscious habits to work through it

"just focus on what makes you happy" and one of the symptoms is being unable to feel joy when doing things you used to enjoy

It's so hard for people to understand that medicine and therapy doesn't magically make me normal and happy. I'm gonna to have to work twice as hard for the rest of my life just for a chance to sometimes feel as happy as someone else does on a daily basis

And the worst part is knowing that if you want to get better you really do have to try😭 and you have to keep trying FOREVER if you don’t want it to get really bad again

I wish someone told me that it happens in cycles. That I’ll get back up to just get knocked down again. But that my ability to get up again improves and the time I’m up is more enjoyable.
