Having a chronic illness like MS or any other type of sickness DOES NOT have a look. The cliche phrase “don’t judge a book by its cover” 100% represents this. There are so many times people who are sick, look completely fine and are even doing completely normal things. Personally, I’ve become a master at “masking”… essentially meaning that I’m faking it. I’m making it look like I’m fine when I may not be fine. Don’t get me wrong, I may actually be fine and I’m not masking but that’s even more reason to not judge or make assumptions about people when you are simply looking at them. Many people see me online and have all kinds of assumptions about me simply because I’m sitting on my floor infront of a window recording myself talk. People see me “doing” something. I may even have my hair & make up done.. but what you don’t see is what happens when the camera turns off. Chronic illness doesn’t have a look.
