Every data analyst job wants years of experience. Not just with analytics, but also in the specific sector (healthcare, banking, real estate, etc.) They also usually list all the specific tools the company uses as required skills, so being familiar with something like Tableau still limits your opportunities to companies who use that specific application. I'm finding it very difficult to enter this field.

im a data analyst working an avg of 60h a week in-office on a laptop (one of 3 people in-office usually, but 2x a week im alone, 45m commute both ways, been on 2 pips but theyre not for actual reasons so higher up managers convince directors to keep me, i make 75k, cant afford to move out (addtl. healthcare costs), dont have the energy to walk my family dogs most days. its the company that matters not the job. I been applying for 2yrs have gotten a few interviews but nothing sticks
