I was caught with a speed camera doing £35 mph in a 30 limit. It felt very unfair, but I chose to attend a local speed awareness course £98 but you don’t get your licence endorsed . At least it’s all over now, and I did learn a few interesting things.

If it’s a estimated speed calculator with yellow posts you can ignore them they go away as they have 15 days to prosecute, so if you reply, you’re accepting the speed ticket . If you ignore it they ran out of time to proceed … it’s it’s a motor way fixed camera with road markings or a police hand held speed recording then you can not get out these tickets !

Failure to respond: Completely ignoring the form is an offence that carries a harsher punishment (up to 6 points and a fine of up to £1,000) than the original speeding offence itself.

I appealed a speeding fine for 24 in a 20mph I said I would like to appeal and declined the speed awareness course. I received a letter from Barkingside court telling if me my appeal was declined and I received £350 fine with Cory cost and 3 penalty points it’s a joke and ignored all my letters asking why the fine was more than the original fine which basically takes away your right to appeal
