I wish there was a system in healthcare where if someone assessed you and missed a diagnosis, and years later the diagnosis was changed, your original doctors would be informed. to help us learn and not repeat mistakes

I’m a Ewings sarcoma survivor, Hi. I was misdiagnosed for 2 years and my tumour (in my pelvis) was 19x10cm when found. Docs said I was a gonner! But miraculously I survived. Rare cancer club is kinda cool but sucks at the same time. X

it was POSSIBLE that it was a byproduct of stress but when that is the hypothesis, youre supposed to completely rule out other options.

I was told my nerve pain was psychosomatic. It was bone spurs on my spine. Doctors still aren't listening to women and I'm so sorry this happened to you babe. we shouldn't have to fight so hard just to be heard

Please don’t delete this, it’s important to talk about it and share your story for other young adults that might be living a similar narrative, it teaches that we can persevere and live through the worst and come out stronger than we were before. You are beautiful, strong, amazing and so much more. I don’t know you but I’m proud of you! Keep kicking ass!

I told my mom about you and she will ask randomly “how’s the girl without the arm” but in an accepting way. She’s soo invested in the journey, and doesn’t have tik tok
