The vertical placement doesn’t affect it, people are having it heat up because they live in dirty places or don’t vacuum often or they smoke indoors. I clean mine every year but even then there’s barely any dust on the fans or the power unit. Vertical or horizontal has no effect on it. That’s just a placebo effect

Total myth. I've kept my PS5 vertical for two full years and it has absolutely zero overheating issues. The liquid metal is factory-sealed and held by surface tension. It only leaks if you drop the console or if an amateur ruins the seal during a bad repair.
