I was in Europe for four weeks last summer. If you go to a restaurant, you have to pay for water. Wasn’t a fan of that BUT you also don’t tip servers. They give you your food, but don’t constantly interact with you, maybe checking once-and when you are finished-the server gives you your bill and you must get up and pay the cashier inside-always keeping your credit card in your hand. I liked that ✅

I went to Germany and was shocked that at restaurants you don’t get free water, refills or ice. And you have to pay to use public restrooms.
