Don’t wear shoes or boots with a distinctive sole, don’t keep these in your home or vehicle, change them out every so often and have them cheap enough to throw away. Thrifted is best because it’s hard to pin them down to a specific store. Pay cash. Buy far away from home ahead of time

a little tip for the walking one, it can be really hard to consciously and consistently walk differently so you should put small pebbles in one or both of your shoes to disrupt walking patterns
