i switched from proxmox to esxi. have openwrt, synology, immich, nextcloud, plex ms, pihole, caddy, vaultwarden, elasticsearch/kibana for monitoring, gitlab, netbird for outside network, kasm and windows 2025. proxmox is great, i just switched to esxi for learning since our company is using it.
