@hervman1996: I find there to be a really interesting parallel between "I Saw The TV Glow" and "The Amazing Digital Circus" in regards to how they both tackle the themes of identity. There's an existential horror to refusing to admit and embrace your inner self and I find jax to be such an interesting cautionary tale of that. Jax masks and pushes others away, all in the service of hiding away her real feelings and emotions and in the end its what kills her. It doesn't excuse her actions or the way she treated others but what it does it show us the real version of her trauma. Shes hurt so in response she hurts others, and she buries her real self deeper and deeper until there's no time left. "I dont want to go" absolutely broke me I found the use of static in both projects also very interesting. The more you hide the less "clear signal" is able to transmit from you, till all you are is simple TV static, loud but not clear. TADC as a piece of art has resonated very personally with me and I am very sad to see it end but I'm happy something so raw and personal was able to be crafted and especially at the hands of a Trans Woman. I can tell this story came from something real and that's what I love from all art. Messy ...sure but for me I'm glad it exists for so many reasons. #theamazingdigitalcircus #jaxtheamazingdigitalcircusedit #transjax #isawthetvglow #jaxedit
