I believe she was in psychosis. I believe this because the amount of remorse she has post event. The fact she wants to commit SI, shows she’s very remorseful in my opinion. I am a RN who specializes in mental health.

Here is where I’m struggling with this case, I’m a mother of 3 as well, same age as her kids. If I did what she did, no matter if it was psychosis..I wouldn’t fight for my innocence. Lock me in a prison or a psych ward, idc. I hurt my kids, my life would be over. Why does she want to be out? Why fight for your innocence, when you did it? Like as a mother, I just can’t understand that. That is why I feel like she lacks remorse for this.

People don’t understand if she is found not guilty by reason of insanity she’s going to spend the rest of her life in a mental institution. She’s not going to be free walking the streets. This trial is only to decide if she’s gonna spend the rest of her life in jail or in a mental hospital.. and she needs to be in a mental hospital so she can get the care that she needs not paraplegic in jail, barely giving any mental health treatment when she still suicidal.

this is so hard. I think both. if she wants to kill herself I don't understand why they don't just let her. why spend all the money on a trial and her serving life in prison. i hate that she was an OB NURSE!? she should know the signs. why didn't she get help? or just leave her kids. idk. I hate this

She set it up, went him away for an hour and did it....that is premeditation and she deserves to spend the rest of her days in prison thinking about it. Psychosis wouldn't be planned and scheduled. She had every opportunity to send the kids with her husband but instead sent HIM away. Guilty

Two things can be true at the same time…. She’s a murderer & she needs to be in a psychiatric hospital for life. She was doctor shopping for meds & was messing her brain up more than it was from the PPD- The excessive meds caused the psychosis.
