i got married at 18 and had my first child a month after my wedding, was a trad wife. turning 28 now, had 3 children in that marriage, divorced, graduated and i thought i knew everything, I knew nothing. but hey good for them, they’ll learn in due time. if it works it works. but you change so much in 10 years, but hey good luck to them.

I got pregnant with my first at 19, then my 2nd was 24, and my 3rd 29. The jump in character development and maturity between 19 and 24 is INSANE! She said it’s “crazy” to grow older and realize how young 19 really is. Her absolute refusal to take any opinion or critique shows just how immature she is. I’m so much more well rounded and secure in life at 30 than I was at 19, no doubt.

it genuinely warps your perspective being 18 or 19 and seeing people your age getting engaged, getting married, having kids, etc. at that age, i was jealous because i felt like i was behind compared to my peers around me, but now at just 20, i know it would have been INSANE for me to have a child or commit to a marriage that young and i wouldn’t do it now. i can acknowledge that not only am i still a bit young, but i also need to be able to provide for myself in case something happens.
