My grandfather gifted my brother 10k. I got nothing because he felt like I didn’t make enough effort to spend time with him. My brother and I saw my grandfather at the same times. He never went without me. My grandfather was partially deaf and couldnt hear soft voices so he couldn’t hear my voice hence why he thought my loud brother was making all the effort

So I’m not the only one?! .. got told to go to my grandparents because it was “urgent”.. my brothers and I turn up.. and my grandad gives my 2 brothers just over a grand each.. I got a big fat zero. When leaving my gma said to make it look like I’m enjoying myself next time.. 🙄

My parents funded my sisters wedding, when it fell through because of Covid, they just gave her the cash instead. The pay for 99% of her, her husbands, and he three kids expenses. I haven’t gotten a birthday or Xmas present in years and no handouts

My mum & step dad bought my brother a CAR! I was supposed to get money for furniture when I moved out my grandmas (I was a newly single mum it would’ve been a godsend) they blew all the money on 8 holidays in 1 year. 😀😀😀

My mom remarried when I was 4, then continued on to have two more kids with my step dad. His parents left each of the boys 40k when they died and nothing for me because I wasn’t “theirs” 💀 thanks y’all lmao

If it makes you feel any better, my mums side of the family organised a big birthday for an aunt, her birthday was Saturday, planned it for my birthday the Sunday and didn’t invite me and told everyone not to tell or mention it to me 🙃

Big tradition to go to grandparents at Christmas. My brothers/sisters would get lavish gifts all wrapped nicely on the pile of presents then grandma would run upstairs to wrap a pair of socks for me. Happened from 7-14 years old when i refused to go. I was the step grandchild. Honestly family’s are weird because i could never. &How my mum carried on sitting where she wasn’t wanted for more years is beyond me.

My parents gifted my only Brother and his wife $125k last week for a house down payment. They paid for their wedding, they paid for their honeymoon, they paid for his private college education, paid his rent until he was 25. God forbid I ask for anything though at just 2 years his senior.
