Let me tell you something about the yacht sinking because everyone thinks they know that story. You saw the movie and thought that was chaos. That was Disney. The truth is the yacht sinking was much worse than the movie. Not a little worse. A lot worse. So underplayed that when I watched the scene later I actually laughed. Budget reasons, I get it but reality does not care about budgets. In real life the boat did not just flip and sink. It was a long, drawn out nightmare that lasted about eighteen hours. Eighteen hours of thinking maybe we are okay now. Nope. Still sinking. Worse. Again. You are on a luxury yacht. Marble, mahogany, champagne. The ocean decides it wants its boat back. Water starts coming in and at first you are calm because when you live like that you think you are invincible. You think money solves physics. It does not. People are sick. People are scared. The boat is groaning. And my brain is still treating it like a business problem because insanity had become normal. We finally get rescued and you think that is the end. A week later the plane crashes. Not the same day. Not like the movie. A completely separate incident. Just the universe making sure the lesson landed. The craziest part is when I watch the movie now and think, that was actually my life and it all felt normal at the time. When chaos becomes your baseline you stop calling it chaos. You just call it another day.
