@erickimberling0: AI change is tough. Employees resist even more than usual with tech this big. If Starbucks struggles, what hope for others? #AI #Tech #Business #ChangeManagement #Leadership
I think, from a human perspective, that AI isn’t being adopted is because it uproots the identity of the individuals while changing the culture of the company, the industry, and even their prospective disciplines. What does it mean to be a good engineer, technician, manager? Who is the hero when an initiative succeeds? Who is the villain when it does? Who is the SME, and who has the wisdom? And when smart front line worker with better prompt engineering skills can now develop better strategies faster than the VP of Marketing, who really has the edge? These are the big questions we have to address as change leaders.

“Leadership” love the idea of replacing workers, thus labor costs. It’s typical corporate greed and it will bite them on the ass.

In 27 years of doing this stuff I've seen one thing repeat over and over. If executives are excited about something in IT they truly don't understand, it never ends well.
