To anyone who doesn’t understand why this has happened. Zelenskyy gave an honorary title to a Ukrainian special forces group of the UPA. Poland has got a pretty violent history where they have oppressed, repressed and abused by Germany and Russia for a very long portion of history. In 1943 to 1945 the UPA was responsible for what is known as the Volhynia massacres. During this time over 100,000 native poles were brutally murdered. for the Polish, the UPA is nothing but a band of bandits and murderers. The Ukrainian seem to be entirely ignoring this as a fact, and are instead of revelling in the fact that the UPA in Ukraine was known for fighting off Russians and Germans, but ignoring the fact that they also were in Poland committing horrific atrocities at the same time. I’m not necessarily a fan of either one of these countries, but I 100% understand where this decision would come from.

It’s not „Poland says” UPA is responsible for thousands of deaths in Wołyń and around it. Thousands of innocent poles, killed by their own neighbours. You can read hundreds of survivors testimonies, but it’s not for the sensitive. UPA was brutally murdering children, cutting pregnant women’s stomachs, hitting people with axes and many many more brutal and cruel acts. I’m not a fan of Nawrocki, but this time he did the right thing. Poland is responsible for keeping memory of our people real.
