I always found it very unfair that people include Katniss in this, in a negative way. Its such a good, actually amazing progression for Katniss to find someone who she can trust this much. And even her having kids didnt suprise me. She was always great with kids, like Prim, or Rude, kids were the only people she let herself be softer around, she just didnt want kids if there was a chance they end up in an Arena. So, if there's no Games anymore, her having kids in time, make sense to me.

in thg, Katniss ending up married actually makes sense to her character. she never thought of having children bc she lived under an oppressive regime and had no money. she was able to change the world and find true love (which she always thought was very hard for her), so she actually ended up wanting to have a happy and lovely family with Peeta

Y'all didn't read the books and it shows. Katniss' ending was PERFECT. She was never an independent strong woman, she always craved for security, for love, for protection since the start, but she never felt safe enough to let herself be herself, to let herself be vulnerable. Her being married and having a family with Peeta is extremely important both for katniss and for panem, it shows how she succeeded, how the mockingjay won, how panem is finally in peace because katniss felt safe enough to be just katniss.

About katniss situation I don't think the video's point is to show sad or bad endings just because they got married (most of them are happy) or because marriage is an important part of their story, but rather to demonstrate that not many series or films have endings where the main female character is happy and single/independent

People dont undestand that besides the fact that getting married is not a “bad” ending for Katniss, she does get married at the end of her story 😭 The point is that theres just few female characters that get a happy ending by being single or not with a man
