The Trap/ Neck Massage is my Favorite Way to Relieve Tension in my Upper Back, Neck, & Traps ___ CAUTION❗❗❗ If you are new to this exercise, please proceed with extreme caution!  I don't even reccomend this if you haven't ever foam rolled your upper back or have done any kind of massage before. I would start off trying to use a massage gun such as a hypervolt very lightly in this area first, or see a massage therapist, chiropractor, or see your doctor or primary care physician if you are having any kind of neck pain, tightness, or stiffness. Once you are cleared by your doctor or therapist, then, you may be able to try this move. This is something that has worked really well for my clients & I, so it may work for you. When I go snowboarding, the occasional falls, twisting, & jumping can put a little strain on my neck. I use this move very religiously before my workouts. I will also foam roll my upper & lower back, lats, as well as my legs, calves, & shins.  Then, I like to fine tune a little further with a double massage ball & use that on my glutes, hamstrings, calves, shins, biceps, forearms, triceps, & chest. Foam rolling has become such an integral part of my training to help massage tight muscles before workouts, improve my performanace, & enhance my recovery. It is my goal to help you move, feel, & look your best with mobility, training, & nutrition.
