Mary gave birth to Jesus in the town of Bethlehem. The birth took place in humble surroundings, where shepherds and later wise men came to worship the newborn Savior. From the very beginning, Mary’s life was closely connected with Jesus’ mission. She cared for Him as His mother while also recognizing that He had come to save the world. 4. Throughout Jesus’ childhood, Mary faithfully raised Him alongside her husband, Joseph. She witnessed remarkable events, including Jesus speaking with the teachers in the Temple when He was only twelve years old. The Gospel says that Mary treasured these events in her heart, reflecting deeply on the work God was accomplishing through her Son. 5. During Jesus’ public ministry, Mary continued to support Him. One well-known event took place at the wedding in Cana, where she informed Jesus that the hosts had run out of wine. Although Jesus’ public ministry had only just begun, He performed His first recorded miracle by turning water into wine. This event revealed His divine power and showed Mary’s trust in Him. 6. Mary remained faithful during the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus. While many people fled in fear, she stood near the cross as her Son was dying. Jesus entrusted her to the care of His beloved disciple, showing His love and concern for her even in His final moments. After Jesus’ resurrection and ascension into heaven, Mary continued to be with His followers.
