I feel that Zandik would have had more chances to be good if he had been born in Mondstadt (not 100% but more chances than sumeru), after all the hatred he received was from his parents AND the village where he was born (Which expelled him), if he was born in Mondstadt at least the people would not hate him and could take refuge in them, there would be the church of Mondstadt, etc etc. After all, he would still be a psychopath if he was born as one, but he would moral, he would be more controlled with a people who like him, etc etc.

They are talking about if Dottore was BORN in Mondt. It’s not like Zandik would be a psych0 fresh out of womb. Not to mention, The Lawrence Clan became that way because Venti slumbered for years leaving the nation to them which made them evil as time goes by. Zandik would not be a heretic in day one, he was just not raised properly since no one ever did. Lohen also has a huge chunk of Dottore’s mentality but he was accepted. So I don’t really see the nuances, it’s a matter of how one person was raised and nurtured.

I think people mistake Venti’s easy going personality for passivity and unlimited forgiveness. Plus some people don’t want to commit to Dottore being irredeemably evil. Where as some of the other harbingers are more morally grey (not saying written well per se)

Tbf dottore only became evil after his homevillage absolutely despised him, if we were to change his birth place it’d only be a question of nature vs nurture, Venti would’ve 100% helped guide him into a better path, similar to how Lohen is😛
