What’s so funny is that if you did give him a chance and got into a relationship and down the line had any issues whatsoever with him then people would say “Choose Better” or “You should have known” …..🫠

You don’t have to date them! Most of the video I’m impressed, but calling jobless people bums and losers is a bit far. Some people (not that guy but some people) genuinely can’t find employment right now and it doesn’t mean they’re bums and losers. As a business owner that often hires people struggling to find work, a lot of them are incredible workers, needing to be given a chance

You’re not in the wrong for having standards, but your standards should also have nuance. What I do think was wrong was the order in which you did things. It would be better to ask why and then make your decision based on the reasoning, rather than rejecting someone immediately and then asking why. Obviously not defending the guy either, bc he decided not to give a reason, but it could’ve been handled better by both sides imo.

you said he was audio visual that's not speculation that's how that role works, you do sound for a band or a theatre show or a tv show or a comedy night or a corporate event, they take whatever pops up, these jobs pay thousands each they have great savings or they wouldn't do it. if his last job was a 9-5 and he seemed like he was fired no one would be coming at you you just didn't understand his job/industry there isn't permanent contracts in that industry.

yeah I agree, if he is deflecting the questions then that is a red flag. Just be honest and say "yeah I'm out of work at the moment, lost my job a while back and I'm struggling to get a job" that's it 🤷
