it hurts too much to even imagine, from both perspectives. Im teaching my 13 year old son about the Holocaust now. just like me at his age, he can not fathom how this happened.

This breaks my heart. I cannot imagine the sheer dire desperation those parents had to put their most prized achievements in life into the faith that they would be cared for or atleast better than the Nazis would have treated them. As a mom to an 8 year old… I cannot fathom separating from my child. The horror of that generation. And to think it’s happening right now in other places.
