I love itachi. But he did not do everything he could for Sasuke. He did love him, but he still failed him. He was just a kid himself, and he wanted what was best for him, but just because you think one thing is for the best, doesn’t mean that’s actually true. I think, in part, he wanted Sasuke to hate him because his guilt was stronger than his love.
