Ben Pattison :
I believe you need to do a deeper dive on Nebius. First of all, they are targetting enterprises and AI startups with their full stack software, Token Factory and agentic services. This is the reason their backlog isnt as large as theyre not focusing on long term deals with hyperscalers - the existing ones with Meta and Microsoft are simply a means to finance their core AI cloud business with pre payments and allows for better interest rates on future financing. This can be seen clearly by the Meta contract in which only 12 billion of the contract is guaranteed, the other 15 billion is optional to Nebius, if they dont have demand from their core AI cloud business. With over 4 customers competing for every GPU, management has been very clear that this capacity is reserved for enterprises and AI startups and have stated that this capacity will generate more than the 15 billion backstopped by Meta. This will mean long term they have a more durable, higher margin, more profitable business with a wider moat once enterprises and successful AI companies are locked into their ecosystem. Secondly, they have an incredible relationship with NVIDIA besides their 2 billion investment in them, theyre collaborating on a specialised physical AI cloud and have a seperate program for AI startups. Jensen literally says to businesses “Nebius will take care of you”. Thirdly, they already have just short of 4GW of connected power which will be active by 2029 so what you see today with only 200MW active is nothing compared to their growth story. On top of this, their inference platform “Token Factory” is genuinely the best in class if you look at Artificial Analysis’ inference speed rankings for different open sourced models, Nebius comes first in the most number of categories. Matched, with the addition of Eigen Ai and Clarifais teams theyre building the most token efficient inference platform at scale in the world, shown in the latest NVIDIA GTC conference where these three business ranked 1, 3 and 4 for token speed. I do think both companies are great, and I havent spent as much time researching Coreweave, however i do know Nebius is a fundamentally misunderstood business
