Next time make sure you have drainage under it to allow water to escape. Gravel works.

its a waste because you didnt use an air additive. adding an air additive introduces microscopic air bubbles to the concrete (if its mixed properly) allowing it to hold up to massive temperature changes without the air (about 5%) then the temperature changes from the concrete being outside and from the fire the internal structure is going to expand an contract ALOT every expansion and contraction of the concrete is going to introduce tiny fractures in the concrete that will spread and grow the fireplace will not oulast the house behind it it will only last 3-5 years
