Is interesting that Merle was racist and a bit xenophobic but he didn't cross that line as Ed Peletier did to punch, touch and denigrate women. I hate Glen Mazzara deleted the scene of Carol and him talking about Daryl. Merle respected Carol the whole time and just smile at her after he saw Carol would kill anyone who hurt Daryl. Merle should at least survived until the 2nd attack of The Governor was unleashed

This is why I can’t fully hate Merle , sure he wasn’t the nicest guy he was racist and was absolutely rotten sometimes but by letting michonne go he saved her from the governor and not only that he gave up his own life and took out as many walkers and men he could to give the group at the prison a better chance …he just wanted his baby brother safe that’s all Merle ever wanted was Daryl safe 🥺

he was a pos most of the time but he definitely wasn’t evil like most ppl say he is, it would’ve been so cool to see him survive and slowly become a trusted member of the group

I don't think so the governor didn't trust merle merle just knew he was crazy also stop victimizing merle he knew how the governor was and he still took Maggie there...... he felt no remorse for what he did and he never apologized to Maggie and Glenn but especial Maggie

You know it's bad when even Merle of all people had to not get involved. Even he had some standards and didn't sink to the same depraved, evil depths the Governer wanted to. Merle wasn't a good man by any means, but he wasn't like THAT. 😬
