Thankfully I don't have to fight with my cat too much to trim her nails. i sit on the kitchen floor and hold her in my lap. She sometimes gives me a hard time and tries to run but I start petting her, telling her she's a good girl, rubbing her paws and even telling her I will give her treats if she let's me trim her nails. She then sits there and let's me do her nails. Yes I do give her treats afterwards. She eats them out of my hand most of the time.
