Although I am a theater Director, I have been hired as a “Day Of Director”. I always brought in a beautiful bridal wicker basket full of all kinds of emergency needs, from Pepto to bobby pins, safety pins thread needle, Imodium, etc. I would go back-and-forth between the grooms waiting area and the brides waiting area, making sure everything was perfect perfect. And finally, I taught them how to come down the aisle to the music. I would be in a place where I couldn’t be seen, and I would give them silent signals that we worked out the night before at the rehearsal. Make sure the photographer was ready at the cake and then I would bring the bride and groom over. Tell them it was time to do certain things. It was great fun. I really enjoyed it.

I’m making a wedding day box of things we may need but won’t think about nearer the time. Plasters, glue, needle and cotton to match outfits etc
