In a PET CT scan (which i had yesterday) the radioactive dye will mean you can not go near children or pregnant women for 4-8 hours.

I had one in March this year after being diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in Feb and before starting chemo. Cost was free, thanks to the NHS. Scans showed the cancer was contained in my liver and bowel and now my surgeon is talking about being able to operate on my liver after being told in Feb it was inoperable, thanks to this machine! Had 6 sessions of chemo so far, had a CT last week and an MRI this week to see how the cancer has been reacting to the chemo and what the next steps are.
