Concrete is the worst idea for a kitchen counter. Stains, temperature marks, among other issues. Granite is best for all of that!

Sand it down and put a clear coat on it. Ours took 17 hours to sand. Totally worth it!

My parents just did concrete counters, then did some design with epoxy it actually looks pretty cool.

i don't think i would do this without putting some screws in the plywood sticking out a little and putting a wire mesh midway in the mix.
